The fact that a world-class city such as Chicago doesn’t have a city-wide recycling program is unacceptable. John Arena is committed to working with the community to create a recycling system that will work for the 45th Ward. The response of the current alderman to the lack of recycling options for residents has been to hide from the problem. 

Furthermore, in his effort to bring economic development to the ward, John Arena will reach out to green businesses to encourage them to relocate here.
